21 #SoAnchorage Holiday Delights: #21, Give

Maybe, like me, you didn’t yet get organized the way you would have liked to make a donation to help people in need. Let this post be a little reminder. It just takes a minute, for example, to donate to Bean’s Cafe or Brother Francis Shelter online. And, if you’re interested in leveraging your money and your caffeine addiction, you could also buy coffee for the family on New Year’s Day at Kaladi Brothers. On New Year’s,  KBC baristas volunteer to work for tips only and all the sales will go to AWAIC, which supports women and children escaping domestic violence. Shell Alaska will match Kaladi’s donation as well as any New Year’s donations made to AWAIC online. Go ahead, get that soy caramel mocha with an extra shot. It’s for a good cause. (If you want to encourage your friends to buy a cuppa for charity too, take a pic of your drink and post it to your socials. Hashtag: #NYDgiving.)

Happy New Year, my friends!  Here’s to generosity!
